Friday (11/3): Dinner at the Fainting Goat

The Fainting Goat is a Top 100 Washingtonian restaurant with local, farm-to-table American fare and just a short mile away from the hotel. The dinner will follow immediately after the Trailblazer Ceremony and Reception at 7:30 pm. Dinner will be partially subsidized by JABA.


RSVP is required for this event. Please RSVP no later than Wednesday (11/1).

Saturday (11/4): Panel on EO 9066
JABA is presenting a panel (Session 408) entitled “Lessons Learned from EO 9066: Preventing Normalization of Behavior that Led to the Internment” featuring Dale Minami (founder of Minami and Tamaki), Karen Korematsu (Executive Director of the Fred T. Korematsu Institute), Roula Allouch (National Board Chair of the Council on Islamic-American Relations) and moderated by Sid Kanazawa (McGuire Woods Partner).

The panel will be presenting on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 9:15 am and will qualify for Elimination of Bias credits in some jurisdictions. Please join us for what will be an informative and compelling panel!

Saturday (11/4): Happy Hour at Brasserie Beck
Don’t know what to do with yourself during the long afternoon break on Saturday? Have a few drinks and appetizers at the ever popular Belgium bistro Brasserie Beck! BB is less than a 1/4 mile from the hotel and will be a chance to relax and enjoy some great company before the NAPABA Gala.
This event is FREE and is co-sponsored by Veritext Court Reporting. RSVP is strongly recommended but not required.
